One in Shopian’s Hadipora another in Bijbehara’s Semthan
Srinagar 10 April : Two encounters started in South Kashmir on Saturday afternoon after the searches were carried out by the forces and police in Bijbehara’s Semthan area and in Shopian’s Hadipora.
Officials said that both the encounters started after the joint searches were carried out by security forces and police at two seperate places of suspicion in south Kashmir after receiving inputs abouts the presence of militants in the area
However, the police said regarding both the encounters as “Encounter has started at Semthan Bijbehara area of Anantnag. Police and security forces are on the job.
While about the Kulgam, they said that “Encounter has started at Hadipora area of Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
It is pertinent to mention that the encounters started after the two were fought in south kashmir’s two places in which forces killed AGuH Chief Imtiyaz Shah among seven militants and injuries of few of the soldiers were reported during the operation. (KNB)
